NV Specialty Coatings (NVSC) is an Italian company specialized in the development, manufacturing and supply of high-performance coating systems for military and defence applications.

Founded in 2005 as an Italian–American joint venture, NVSC operated for more than fifteen years under majority U.S. ownership, building a unique level of technological and operational expertise. Until 2022, NVSC was the only company authorized to manufacture CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coatings) outside the United States, in full compliance with original U.S. formulations and military qualifications.

During this period, NVSC obtained QPL/QPD qualifications and the required governmental authorizations to supply military coatings to several Ministries of Defence, Armed Forces and major international OEMs, operating in environments characterized by stringent technical requirements, high regulatory complexity and long-term reliability demands.

In 2022, NVSC was fully acquired by VE.CO S.p.A., a long-established Italian manufacturer of specialty coatings. This transition ensured full industrial, technological and quality continuity, consolidating in Italy the know-how developed over the years and further strengthening production capabilities and technical support.

In addition to its defence core business, NVSC also supplies smoke systems for aerobatic teams, used during official displays and high-profile events, including the Italian Air Force’s “Frecce Tricolori”, with a long-standing collaboration spanning more than twenty-five years (previously as VE.CO).

Today, NVSC positions itself as a reliable and qualified technical partner, capable of supporting institutional and industrial customers throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance and consistent performance even in the most demanding operational environments.
